Amarachi Echendu-Joe
Amarachi Echendu-Joe grew up in Nigeria. She is a young mother to two hyperactive kids. Amarachi got married at an early age of 22 after college and remained at home to nurse her kids for over 4years. Amarachi struggled with PPD, low self-esteem and confidence. However, she strove to discover and develop herself by exploring different interests such as Agriculture - as a poultry farmer - Youth empowerment(volunteering with Africa Youth Growth Foundation) and actively participating in communities such as She Leads Africa(SLA) and YALI Nigeria group.
Amarachi’s intense desire to join the workforce sparked her interest in Technology. She works as an Associate Product Manager at Decagon Learning Institute managing a team of developers. Amarachi currently hosts a Podcast titled The Mompower podcast - a platform she uses to encourage young mothers to overcome postpartum
blues and refocus on their goals. She helps them understand the untapped skills they subconsciously acquire through motherhood.
Amarachi aspires to be a TEDX speaker and a fellow of the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship.
