Benedito Machava
Benedito Xadreque Machava is a Mozambican who graduated in International Relations and Diplomacy from Universidade Joaquim Chissano in 2022. His interests include reading, research and writing, and he has a passion for communication, business development and youth leadership. Benedito has a solid professional background, having held prominent positions as correspondent for the Korea-Africa Foundation, programme coordinator for AFRIYAN and board secretary for the National Youth Council. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, Changana and Chinese beginner (HSK2).
His honours include the Young Achiever Award in 2016, awarded by the office of the husband of the governor of Gaza and Merit Scholarship for the best Chinese language students, awarded by the Embassy of China. His favourite book, "When Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe, reveals his love of literature. Leaders such, Samora Machel, inspire Benedito as he seeks to contribute positively to his country and community.
