Blessing Akpan

Blessing Akpan is educator, social entrepreneur and the Founder of The Innovative Child Network, a not-for-profit organization leveraging mentorship, and training to raise innovative children through skill-based learning. She integrates and implements both project-based learning models and educational technologies in classrooms with prowess in Google tools for education, Microsoft and Adobe creative tools.

As a versatile educator, she leads learning in an environment that makes room for diversity and speaks the language of inclusion via her role as a Scratch educator, Technovation student mentor and Youth session Host at Link Online Learners. As a youth advocate for Quality Education for every child, Blessing is renowned for championing online and offline campaigns around themes of educational development such as Inclusive Education and literacy to positively Impact our community and wider world. As a Founder/Lead Mentor of The Innovative Child Network, She leads a group of innovative mentors to deliver quality skill-based learning programs through weekly mentorship, Learners Leading Learning Series and exhibitions to tackle the global learning crisis and the learning poverty. As an Ambassador for HundrED.org, Their world, and Xtalks.org, she seeks and shares innovation in K12 education, promotes literacy among children, and amplifies the voices of young people throughout Africa and beyond.

Also passionate about Gender equality and female leadership, She Leads Women Will Uyo, a global Google initiative focused on creating economic opportunity for women everywhere, so that they can grow and succeed. Helping women make the most technology to build skills, get inspired and connect with each other through training and thought leadership.

Blessing is Qatar Foundation WISE fellow, a Telemachus Alumni at the Global Thinkers Forum and a2020 Week 3 Winner of Union Bank NIgeria Rise Challenge.

Blessing is passionate about providing solutions to issues in her community through education, leadership and capacity building
