Charles Crawford worked for 28 years in the UK Diplomatic Service including three postings as UK Ambassador to Sarajevo, Belgrade and Warsaw before starting a private consulting career in communication technique. He currently supports senior public speaking at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).
In his diplomatic career he took part in many high-level negotiations and contributed to speeches by members of the British Royal Family and successive UK Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers.

He is an experienced commentator on international issues appearing on BBC, Sky, ITV and CNN; he has written for the Independent, Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Daily Mail, Sun, National Review Online, Voice of Russia and DIPLOMAT.
His book on leadership communication Speeches for Leaders was published in 2016. He has won Cicero Awards for speeches by Sir John Sawers (former Chief of MI6), Tony Ennis (CEO of ecoLegacy) and Dr Robert Floyd (Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban-Treaty Organisation) respectively.
