Dorcas Mumbi
Dorcas Mumbi is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment, gender equality, and inclusive development. Born and raised in Murang’a County, Kenya, she is the fourth-born in a family of six. Dorcas holds a degree in Education with a focus on Special Needs, specialising in Hearing Impairment, from Moi University. She has also completed fellowships and leadership programs, including the Emerging Leaders Foundation ILead Cohort 11 and the Aspire Leaders Program by Harvard Business School.
She has extensive experience in mentorship, community engagement, and program development. She currently serves as the Program Development Lead at Plan B International and as a Student Application and Monitoring Associate at Chancen International. Additionally, she is a volunteer Program Manager at Africa True Life Project, mentoring young professionals and leading initiatives on gender-based violence, inclusivity, and leadership.
She is also dedicated to promoting financial literacy, entrepreneurial development, and transformative leadership among young people. Her work continues to inspire change, create opportunities, and empower communities across Kenya and beyond.
