Ekenedilichukwu Okolie

Ekenedilichukwu Okolie has over 8years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She holds a Masters in Information Technology (MIT) from Ladoke Akintola University, complementing her background as a graduate in Electrical Electronics Engineering. 

In her latest role as the founder of the STEM Damsel Empowerment Network, a nonprofit organization deeply devoted to its mission, she is actively addressing the underrepresentation of women and girls in STEM fields through a comprehensive approach. This approach encompasses advocacy, mentorship, the dismantling of gender biases, the promotion of diversity, and the provision of influential role models, all working together to forge a path toward greater equity in the realms of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Ekenes’ role includes setting a clear vision for our organization's mission, establishing meaningful collaborations, and overseeing the growth and impact of our mentorship initiatives. 

Through her work in the nonprofit sector, Ekene has acquired skills in program development, advocacy, dignified development, and stakeholder collaboration. Her areas of particular interest in the nonprofit sector are inclusive education, equitable economic development, and harnessing the power of technology and innovation, all with a strong focus on addressing gender disparities.
