Elizabeth Filippouli is a social entrepreneur. She is the Founder & CEO of Global Thinkers Forum (GTF), an international organisation that works as an agent for positive change by connecting international thought leaders and promoting values-based leadership, collaboration and cross-cultural understanding. GTF is a London-based organisation with presence in 7 countries: UK, USA, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, UAE, Saudi Arabia and a fast growth rate.
In 2016, Elizabeth was named among Oxford University’s Said Business School’s 42 top graduate entrepreneurs.
In 2015, Filippouli and Global Thinkers Forum launched an international mentoring programme, Global Thinkers Mentors, pairing youth and women from all over the world with accomplished individuals having accomplished reach to over 35 countries. Elizabeth is a passionate advocate of taping into female talent and potential to create prosperity, peace, development and happier societies. As part of this GTF launched Athena40 in 2018. She is also a blockchain technology expert, exploring its potential for social good.
Elizabeth’s background is in journalism. Her international career kicked off when she joined the CNN family in 1999, as a CNN Fellow and Athens-based correspondent.
Elizabeth has studied Strategy and Innovation at Said Business School of Oxford University (MBA), Transnational Media and Globalisation at London City University (MA).
