Founder & CEO, Global Thinkers, Global Thinkers Forum & Global Thinkers Mentors

Elizabeth Filippouli is a journalist and social entrepreneur. In 2012 she founded Global Thinkers Forum (GTF), a global platform incubated at Said Business School University of Oxford, that connects international thought leaders and promotes values-based leadership, women's empowerment and youth development.
GTF is London-based with an international advisory board and presence in 8 countries: UK, USA, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan. It was launched in 2012 in Amman, Jordan under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania and has engaged influencers from business, philanthropy, academia, media, literature. The organisation actively supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals through its mentoring programmes and initiatives.

In 2015 Global Thinkers Forum launched its international mentoring programme, Global Thinkers Mentors, pairing youth and women from all over the world with accomplished individuals in more than 45 countries. In 2018 as part of its efforts in support of SDG 5, the organisation launched Athena40 a multi-faceted initiative supporting the advancement of women in leadership, which also features a merit-based list presenting every two years some of the world’s most innovative women from across all industries, countries and ages.
Athena40's initiatives include supporting women by creating access to networks, opportunities and recognition.

Elizabeth serves on the Global Advisory Board of the Prince’s Trust International, focusing her efforts on global partnerships for development and access to opportunities for youth internationally.
She has read Strategy and Innovation at Said Business School of Oxford University (MBA), Transnational Media and Globalisation at London City University (MA) and has taken the Harvard Executive Education Kennedy School of Government programme on "Shaping Change in the Information Age". She currently serves also as the Vice Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Greece. In 2016, Elizabeth was named among Oxford University’s Said Business School’s 42 top graduate entrepreneurs.
