Feryal Bensalah
Feryal was born in Mauritius and moved to Scotland at the age of 3. She studied Economics and Business and following this began a career in the asset management industry. Over the last 20 years, she has gained professional and volunteer experience across corporates, charities, non profits, schools and further education. This developed skills across systems and technology, business analysis, project management and learning and development.
Over the last few years, she was offered the role of leading and managing graduates and trainees, a rewarding experience that encouraged her to explore impactful people focused opportunities further. Her interest in humanitarian causes, child welfare and education led her to join the board of a UK-based charity which supports survivors of human trafficking and provides educational services in India.
Feryal cares about equality of opportunity for all, this inspired her to be a mentor for social mobility charities supporting young people. She advocates for female empowerment and currently mentors for 100 Women in Finance, a global organisation aimed at increasing female representation in the industry. Her vision is to leverage off her diversity of skills, experience and interests and transition towards purpose-driven work in the future.
