Hala Gharib
Hala Gharib, holds a Masters in Languages and Translation (Arabic, French, English and Spanish). She finished her studies in Lebanon and followed her Masters by post-graduate studies in specialised Arabic to Spanish Translation. While in Spain she worked at Oliver Wyman, a consultancy firm where she was the single point of contact for Middle East and Africa (ME&A) consultancy practice for Communications, Media and Technology (CMT).
Then she moved to London and start working at Marsh as an insurance broker in the political risk and trade finance department where she was responsible for negotiating, writing, and placing insurance policies for institutional banks. These policies would cover the bank’s investments in developing countries against non-payment by the borrower in case of financial default. She has also worked as a knowledge manager at Marsh where she was responsible for developing and maintaining intellectual property material to promote insurance products to Financial Institutions across Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA). She has also developed expertise in: supply chain management (from manufacturing to the end consumer), sourcing, product development, go-to-market strategies, marketing and communication and sales and distribution.
