Imran Ahmed
Imran Ahmed's goal is to provide technical support to governments, international organizations and other stakeholders for the elaboration, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies, strategies and actions in a variety of interrelated fields, including Food Security and Livelihood, Drought Mitigation, Early Warning Early Action (EWS), Forecast-based Financing, Youth Economic Empowerment, Public Policy, Disaster Risk Management (DRM), Emergencies (Resilience) Green Economy, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, and among others. He has 7 - 8 years extensive and progressively reflective work experience in development sector with United Nations and INGOs. He has earned a Master's degree in Social Science from the University of Sindh and a diploma in Information Technology from SBTE Karachi. Also with two honorary degrees in the creativity field and received many leadership awards.
Imran has successfully managed and implemented several advocacy programs to strengthen rule of law, governance, youth and women empowerment, youth leadership, career counselling, peace building, and social entrepreneurship. He has worked closely with youth groups, civil society, academia, law enforcers, and government agencies to enhance their capacities and mass awareness to prosper peace, strengthening rule of law, governance, democracy, and countering terrorism and extremism in the Sindh. He has also voluntarily implemented projects on education, youth and entrepreneur mentoring, social entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange programs.
