Rana Ali
Sudan
Rana Ali is an ambitious Sudanese girl, currently in her 5th year of Management Studies at Ahfad University for Women. She has more than three years of experience in social activism, serving for different non-governmental organizations. She has led many youth initiatives in peacebuilding, educational development, and women’s empowerment. She was awarded out of 600 applicants to be a fellow of the African Leadership Institute’s “Pakati” project for African youth who want to bring change in their communities. She was also chosen from 100 females to be part of the “Alsudaniya Mentoring Program”. Rana was a participant of the youth capacity development program “Empowering Young Women on Practical Democracy & Leadership Skills” with the community-based organization “Ajyal”. She is also a trainer and moderator in peacebuilding for the Life and Peace Institute’s peace project named “Sustained Dialogue”. Rana has participated in workshops focusing on gender equality, diversity management, and active citizenship to enrich her knowledge for community activism. Rana is enthusiastic to acquire knowledge through reading, learning languages, and participating in cross-cultural activities. She is passionate about working in multiple languages, particularly English, French, and German. She aspires to continue her life mission to achieve development in her country.
