Chikondi Masamba Makanani

Chikondi Masamba Makanani is a Global Health Specialist and Registered Nurse with over 10 years of experience in healthcare service delivery, community outreach, and emergency health services in Malawi. She holds an MSc in Global Health from Kamuzu University of Health Sciences and a BSc in Nursing.

Her expertise spans quality improvement in health care, cervical cancer screening and prevention services, adolescents’ reproductive and sexual health, HIV/AIDS care, and health systems strengthening. A published researcher in Scientific Reports (DOI: 10.1038/s41598-025-03145-x), Chikondi has contributed to multiple research projects addressing vaccine uptake, nutrition, and health policy adaptation. She has led quality improvement initiatives, mentored junior workers, and coordinated community health education programs.

Passionate about advancing equitable healthcare for vulnerable populations, she aims to leverage the Global Thinkers Mentoring Program to enhance her leadership and research capacity to drive sustainable health outcomes globally.
