Elsie Kuluwani

Elsie Kuluwaniis a clinician, lecturer, and researcher dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health rights in Malawi. With a bachelor's degree in obstetrics and gynaecology, she has extensive clinical experience and now works as a lecturer in clinical medicine, where she plays an active role in training future healthcare providers. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in sexual and reproductive health rights research, Elsie is committed to addressing critical healthcare challenges in Malawi, particularly for underserved communities.

Her research focuses on improving healthcare access and quality, with fieldwork conducted in both urban and rural health facilities in Mzimba. Elsie’s work emphasises not only patient care but also the development of policies that support sustainable healthcare improvements. Driven by a vision of equitable healthcare, Elsie aims to strengthen healthcare systems and empower the next generation of clinicians to address pressing health needs in Malawi and beyond
