Ray An Margaret Cabantan

Ray An Margaret Cabal Cabantan is a Filipino American transgender and a public health advocate whose work is guided by humility, service, and cultural rootedness. She holds an associate degree in Public Health Community from LAGCC CUNY and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree at Southern New Hampshire University, with aspirations to pursue a master’s degree and eventually a doctorate in Public Health and Foreign Policy.

Ray grew up in the Philippines in a family involved in political service and healthcare. Through the quiet guidance of her mother, she learned early on the importance of compassion, fairness, and community responsibility. She later completed a specialisation in Leadership and Management through Harvard Business School Online, further strengthening her commitment to ethical and inclusive leadership.

Ray currently serves as an Appeal Specialist at Fidelis Care Centene, where she is also an active member of Engagement Inclusive and DEI initiatives that promote belonging and representation in the workplace. She supports LGBTQ+ community efforts as an adviser to Yoyebelles in Hindang, Leyte, a grassroots initiative centered on empowerment and cultural pride.

Her journey, shaped by resilience, delays, and quiet determination, continues to fuel her mission to uplift others, promote equity, and move forward with a spirit that remains steady even when the path is not straightforward.
