Robert (Rob) Baker has recently retired from Mercer, a leading global Human Resources consulting firm, after a 42 year career with the company. During this time he undertook a number of key roles and Progressed to become a Senior Partner. His last role was as Leader of Diversity & Inclusion Consulting for the International Region (The World ex US and Canada).
Based in London, Rob plans to continue his work, helping organisations build the diverse and inclusive cultures, workplaces and workforces they need to meet the key business challenges of disruption, innovation and growth.
Rob is a thought leader on diversity & inclusion and on engaging men to support gender equality: at work, at home and in all aspects of life. In recognition of his achievements in supporting women in the workplace, he was named an Agent of Change 2019 by Management Today.
Rob is past Co-President of PWN Global, a major global women’s network. In this role, he shared the leadership of the Global Board and worked with global partners and local PWN City Networks to help drive gender balance.
He was elected as a Companion to the Chartered Management Institute in 2019 and joined an elite group of 500 business leaders working together to advance leadership and management in the new “Industrial Revolution 4.0”
Rob has spoken at numerous conferences and has contributed to many publications and blogs on the importance of balanced leadership. Rob also speaks widely on talent trends, innovation and the future of work, including the importance of engaging all employees in the workplace and getting the best from the multi-generational workforce.
