SARA ETTAMIMI (SE) is a highly self-motivated Postdoctoral candidate with demonstrated research expertise in the area of microbiology and bioinformatics analysis, proven critical-thinking skills and demonstrated ability to manage and interpret large biological data sets.
SE is holding a PhD diplomate in the area of Biotechnology with focus on Environmental Sciences from the University of Algarve. As a PhD student, SE was employed in different sampling Campaigns being responsible for the biological/biogeochemical team at different international institutions (e.g.CCMAR-Portugal, CEH-UK) and co-supervised MSc and 5 BSc dissertations final projects.
SE has a dedicated interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. SE was involved in different citizen science initiatives, promoting collaboration between scientists and the general public. She participates as a team member or core team member in several national and international projects, microbiome analysis aiming to explore microbial communities at the taxonomic and functional level. Since 2019 she joined the Global Thinker Forum (GTF) as a mentee.
